Getting to How

How Design Conference

The How Design Conference is one of the biggest and best design conferences of the year, with workshops, critiques, studio tours, and great speakers. I’ve been wanting to go for years but have never been able to. This year’s How Design Conference is in my very own city of Boston from May 18th to the 21st. I figure if my boss is going to pay for me to go this year is the year! I started writing my proposal and even found a great link on the conference web site that lists reasons to go. If I do get to go I’ll be sure to take a lot of pictures and post them up for our “Farm Fans”

Have you ever been, and if you have, why did your boss let you go? I’d love to get your comments and help.

3/04/08: I just finished writing up my proposal. If you’d like to take a look at it click here.

New Rain Lines

Rainlines

A sketchbook is an integral part making art, design, and illustration. In fact most Farmidable patterns began with some sort of idea or concept that was brainstormed with pencil and paper in a sketch. Many of our preliminaries are even posted in our “In the Works” category. This new pattern, Rain Lines, celebrates the shapes of small pencil marks made over and over. Available in various color schemes. Check it out in our gallery or click here to download them.

Also, new but not as new as this; check out our recent Dumpling pattern.
