I was reading my new HOW Magazine and saw some images from Chris Ware’s sketch book. If you are familiar with Chris Ware then you will understand me when I say it was pretty much like you would expect. Chris has a lot of confidence in his drawing but then at the same time seems hate everything he does to the point where one could get tired of him complaining about it. To me he has an amazing way of capturing regular life and no reason for negativity. I really like the repetitive grids Chris creates. Here’s a page he did for The New Yorker. If you don’t know much about Chris Ware I recommend doing a bit of research. Start with “Jimmy Corrigan The Smartest Kid on Earth.”
