Razorfish Website

Razorfish is a Seattle-based interactive services firm with worldwide offices. They appear do all sorts of things, but most notable to this blog entry is their cool website and its super cool background. Promised (via k10k.org) to be a “live feed”, it seems [very] unfortunately to be non-live, but really neat nonetheless. Go to the bottom, hover next to “now viewing,” choose a city, marvel at the great transition effect and imagine you’re seeing things real time in some far away locale. The site is totally Flash-based and is tight indeed.

It looks live to me. What is it about the site that makes it seem it’s not live? Did you see a loop?
zfink Jul 16
Yeah, lots of looping. Some of it is different today, though some is the same.

It’s a loop, not a live feed. The cost of a live feed was beyond reasonable. Maybe one day it will be live, for now it’s just what it is.

Well even if it is a loop it’s a great concept overall and I think the design is nice.
