My wife’s grandmother’s basement flooded about a month ago and boy were there some great old finds down there. Among them were these two-color self cover how-to handbooks from the 1950’s. The type and illustrations in all of these are amazing. I especially like the paint brush on McCall’s Book of Furniture Refinishing and the type on the How-To Book on Needlework. I’ve got one more hand book I plan post about, but it deserves it’s own post.
