My wife took these photos of the dining room table I built with help of Ian Maclean who manufactured the raw steel hairpin legs. As far I could tell when searching online, Ian is the only person out there making them. We’ll be asking him to send us some for out coffee table soon. Anyway, I’m very happy with the result. Our dinning room is on the small side so the hairpin legs make the table seem like it’s floating a bit and therefore taking up less space.

This is a great idea. It’s especially great to me be because I’ve been in the process of migrating to our web department in our firm and have done less and less hands on work over time. Not that I’m complaining. I like building websites. I’m thinking though, why not have your own dirty weekend? Set up a weekend day to just play in your studio or at home. I think I plan to do just that. It may be a good idea to do it on a regular basis. Hmmmm… Anyway check out the video it’ll make you want to throw ink around.
