If you’re in New York Thursday 11/ 12 I highly recommend going to Glowlab to see Alex Lukas’s first solo exhibition featuring his new series of post-apocalyptic drawings of urban landscapes. The reception for the exhibition is from 7-9 pm. These are incredibly skillful, amazing drawings depicting what seems to me to be the calm after the storm. The mix of flooded high rise buildings, foggy/misty air and over grown streets is quite emotional and eerie. My favorite images are the ones posted above. He’s recently posted new images to his also. You can see them here. If you do get a chance to go to the exhibition please give us an update. I’m sure it will be great.
